The setup wizard will ask you to download Microsoft’s Your Phone Companion app to your Android phone and click “Continue.” If you aren’t already signed in with your Microsoft account, sign in when prompted. You’ll be prompted to sign into the app with a Microsoft account if you aren’t already signed into your PC with one.
Select “Android” and click “Get started” to link the app to an Android phone. Launch the “Your Phone” app from your Start menu to get started. The Your Phone app comes installed with Windows 10, but you can download it from the Store if you’ve previously uninstalled it. How to Set Up Windows 10’s Your Phone App The screen mirror feature is only available for some Windows Insiders right now, but they should arrive for everyone soon. Texting from your PC, transferring photos, and syncing notifications all work right now on current stable builds of Windows 10. Don’t even ask about Windows phones, which Microsoft gave up on long ago. iPhone users can set up the Your Phone app to send web pages back and forth between their phones and PCs-but that’s it. Apple’s restrictions prevent that level of integration. Unfortunately, iPhone users won’t get any of that. If you have the right phone and PC, you can even use the Your Phone app to mirror your phone’s screen and see it on your PC. Windows 11 is expected to arrive this October, but for now, these methods will help provide Android app support to your laptop. On the Windows side, you'll need to be sure you have at least the Windows update along with the most recent version of the Link to Windows or Your Phone app. In order for the app to work, users with a Samsung phone must be running Android 11.0 or above, which essentially means flagship Samsung phones released since August 2019 (Note 10 and above), and the Link to Windows Service app 2.1.05.2 or more recent from the Galaxy Store. There is a catch, however, as this can only be done with Samsung devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
While it could only run a single Android app at a time when it first arrived, it was recently upgraded earlier this year to be able to run multiple Android apps simultaneously. Windows 10 users could already launch Android apps on laptops thanks to Microsoft's Your Phone app.
